Harris County Permits
If you are located within Harris County (but not in Houston city limits), you will need to visit this page from the Harris County Alarm Detail.
For Houston Commercial Fire Alarm Monitoring Permits
For new systems, your fire alarm company will need to submit engineered drawings and apply for a Fire Alarm Installation Permit. You also need a Fire Alarm Monitoring Permit, which you may apply for yourself. If we dispatch on your fire alarm and you don’t have a permit, you can and probably will be fined.
